Charity Fundraising Ltd worked with autism west midlands on grant fundraising, achieving grants totalling £768,653 in revenue and capital funding. This equated to over fifteen times that invested in our services.

Sandwell Autism Resource Centre is situated in West Bromwich, Birmingham. The centre delivers a range of outreach services to individuals with autism, their families and carers and the professionals connected with them. The centre is also accessible on an appointment or drop in basis where service users can get information, advice and loan items from their library.

Charity Fundraising worked to ensure the continuation of these vital services by achieving multi-year revenue funding of £542,000.

Coddington Court School is an autism-specific residential and day school for up to 40 pupils, aged 8-19. Opened in January 2001 the school offers a forty week educational year and fifty weeks residential care. Our fundraising company provided substantial consultancy in developing a fundraising strategy in relation to the further development of the school.

Initially achieving funding towards one aspect of the capital development; we then handed over fundraising activities to newly recruited in house staff at autism west midlands.

Solent Steam Packet

Charity Fundraising Ltd worked with The Solent Steam Packet Limited on a small contract over six months, providing fundraising consultancy services and in this time achieved £72,500 in revenue and capital funding to support their work to preserve and restore a magnificent heritage ship.
The Solent Steam Packet Limited, otherwise known as the Shieldhall Preservation Society, own the SS Shieldhall, a Heritage ship included in the National Historic Ships Core Collection and generally recognised to be the largest working steamship of her type in Britain and northern Europe. All work associated with the Shieldhall is carried out by unpaid volunteers. The ship also supports the community of Hampshire in various ways, such as providing a training facility for young people in the Sea Cadet Corps, and a work environment for people in drug and alcohol rehabilitation programmes.
In the first instance, our Fundraising Consultants worked to research potential funding opportunities and advise on fundraising feasibility. Seven successful fundraising proposals for The Solent Steam Packet Limited raised £50,500 towards a dry docking that would allow the SS Shieldhall to keep her passenger license.
These included grants from The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation, the Garfield Weston Foundation, the Headley Trust and the 29th May 1961 Charitable Trust.

We are now supporting Solent Steam Packet with further fundraising towards their heritage education and training plans.

“Our working relationship with Charity Fundraising now spans 3 years and two fundraising campaigns. They have been a pleasure to work with, professional whilst giving the feeling of genuine personal interest in what our charity is trying to achieve. They have delivered value for money and a high quality service. We will continue to use them.” James Robson, Trustee

Charity Fundraising Ltd are working with St Paul’s Cathedral to support fundraising for their object conservation priorities and educational activities. We have only recently started supporting St Paul’s as professional fundraisers but have already achieved £105,500 towards these areas of their work.

St Paul’s Cathedral itself needs little introduction. Its image is immediately recognisable as one of the most prominent symbols of London and the United Kingdom as a whole. Needless to say we are really excited about providing support as fundraising consultants towards this remarkable institution.

King’s Hedges Primary School

Posted on 12 June 2013

Charity Fundraising Ltd supported King’s Hedges Primary School with their project, budget and application development for a bid to Big Lottery Fund Reaching Communities for their innovative ‘So to Speak’ project. As part of our work for them as fundraising consultants we also undertook evaluation services to produce a detailed evaluation of the existing project.

The grant of £225,793 enables the continuation and expansion of a project which offers children and families in Kings Hedges, Cambridge better life chances by delivering intensive early intervention to children aged 2-4 years old in areas such as speech, language, motor skills and social development. Activities will be supported by outings to venues such as the Post Office, library, park or shops to encourage talk and discussion.

Jo Angel, Head Teacher reported that the best aspect of the service was…. That Paul was sympathetic to the aims of our organisation and seemed to understand how we wanted to work. That you were on call and could respond at the drop of a hat – often within seconds of asking. You kept us informed on progress and let us know what you needed from us in good time and kept your requests to a minimum. That you were successful!!!”

Pursuing Independent Paths (PIP)

Posted on 11 June 2013

Pursuing Independent Paths (PIP) is a registered charity based in West London that works with young adults with learning disabilities (including Autism) and severe learning difficulties. PIP’s service users come from throughout the City of Westminster and neighbouring boroughs in order to attend accredited educational, training and life skills sessions at two centres in Westminster.

Charity Fundraising Ltd started working with PIP in late 2011, initially to review PIP’s current funding position, conduct funder prospect research and investigate the scope for new and innovative project designs.

Our team have since developed a number of targeted trust fundraising bids to support core costs at PIP’s W9 Centre in Maida Vale as well as a range of specific projects. To date, the total raised for PIP through a range of grants and small contracts is £961,752 including 3-year funding of £245,000 secured through the BIG Lottery Fund for Health and wellbeing and £97,300 from City Bridge Trust for a performing arts project. Our team worked on a tender for Arts and Disability services in Westminster; a partnership bid that was successful in two consecutive years. The City of Westminster Commissioner responded: “Your tender for Arts and Disability services scored 95% – the highest of all that we received”. We have also achieved core funding from a range of sources including the John Lyons Charity and corporates such as British Land. Restricted grants have supported PIP’s Travel training project, Literacy and Numeracy sessions, the purchase of IT equipment and recreational activities. We continue to work with PIP to support their fundraising, development and evaluation of their services.

“CF are a thoroughly professional organisation to work with.  They took the time to get to know us in great detail and over time have continued to impress, meet targets and help us deliver our mission.” Bill Feeney, Director.
