Sickle Cell Society is the UK’s national charity dedicated to supporting people affected by an inherited sickle cell disorder; the fastest growing genetic condition in the UK.
Charity Fundraising Ltd started working with the society in 2014 at a point where the organisation had seen annual income falling year-on-year and deficits reported in the previous three years.
To date we have achieved £3,266,895 directly for the society through grants and local and national contract tenders including NHS, medical industry, the Garfield Weston Foundation, Children in Need, Heritage Lottery and Clothworkers Foundation. We developed a comprehensive fundraising strategy which helped to achieve substantial growth in individual giving and community fundraising. We also developed their organisational monitoring framework and project framework and evaluation for the Society’s pan-London Peer Mentoring Programme.
When we started working with the society their income in the previous financial year was just £286,000. Within three years we supported them to more than double their income and today the charity has a turnover of over £1.1 Million.
