Upcoming Grant Funding Deadlines

Here’s a summary of some upcoming grant funding deadlines:

23rd April 10
Youth of Today Leadership Fund – Scaling Up
Funding to develop and expand youth leadership programmes which encourage young people to take on leadership roles in their community.

Hilton in the Community Foundation (UK)
Support to organisations working with disadvantaged young people including disabled children, children in hospital and homelessness. Grants up to £30,000 per year for 2 years.

The Friends Provident Foundation
Funding to promote financial inclusion in the UK. For example providing free debt advice, advice on savings etc.

Community Sustainable Energy Programme (England)
Grants to install renewable energy technologies and energy saving measures available to not for profit organisations. Maximum capital grant is £50,000 or 50% of the project costs.

OFCOM Community Radio Fund
Funding towards core costs of running a community radio station. Grants can only be made to community radio licensees who are broadcasting under a community radio licence.

People’s Millions (UK)
Support projects that transform the local environment or provide opportunities or facilities to allow people to take part and enjoy their local area.

City Parochial Foundation
Funding to help Londoners to cope and find ways out of poverty.

Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust
Funding priorities for 2010 are Children, Youth, The Elderly and Medical (only projects dealing with the ageing population will be considered).

Waste Recycling Environmental Ltd (WREN)
Various small and large grants to social, environmental and community based projects within 10 miles of an active WRG landfill site.

Cracking the Code Bursary Scheme
Bursaries given up to £500 to infrastructure organisations to improve their governance. Organisations must be based in England with an annual income of less than £500,000. Examples:
  • people having better chances in life, including being able to get better access to training and development to improve their life skills
  • strong communities, with more active citizens, working together to tackle their problems
  • improved rural and urban environments, which communities are better able to access and enjoy
  • healthier and more active people and communities.
