Charity Fundraising Ltd - How We Work

Charity Fundraising deliver consultancy services to the Third Sector (Charities, Social Enterprises, Voluntary and Community Organisations etc) helping them to plan, establish and take forward their fundraising strategies. Charity Fundraising was established in 2000 by Graham Parker, drawing on his experience and success in founding, managing and fundraising for a charity working to divert young people from drugs and crime. While initially focussing on this area of the voluntary sector, Charity Fundraising quickly grew and developed experience across a whole spectrum of charitable causes.

We specialise in supporting organisations to achieve core, project, salary and capital funding from; Charitable Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Sponsorship, Lottery programmes, Europe, UK and Local Government, High Net Worth Individuals etc. Research undertaken daily keeps us aware of new and wide ranging grant funding opportunities from many potential sources.

Charity Fundraising Consultancy Services

We offer an extensive range of fundraising services to Charities, Social Enterprises and other voluntary sector organisations. These include:

Client Relationship

Experience has shown that the key to success in working with any organisation is a close working relationship. Where possible we aim to build a long-term client relationship.

Our involvement with our clients is a partnership, based on a two-way exchange of information and support. In order to maximise funding, we depend on clients to provide accurate, up-to-date information in a timely fashion, for each funding priority/project. We use e-mail, telephone and regular scheduled meetings to ensure that both parties synergise and work together effectively.

In providing our Campaign Management / Outsourced Fundraising service, we focus on identified funding priorities and work to produce quality applications and supporting documents designed to maximise the inflow of funds for our client. We offer a team-based approach to our regular clients, where several staff will be involved working in their specific field of expertise to deliver added value to our client. We appoint a principal contact for each client to facilitate coordinated and efficient communication; we ask clients to nominate a principal contact in their organisation, preferably a senior staff member with decision making powers.

We apply skills, experience and resources to find appropriate sources of funding, and draft applications with the aim of achieving the best possible results. In most cases we establish direct communication, by telephone or email, with potential funders on behalf of our client. We subsequently draft applications to interested funders and email them to the client for printing, signature and submission. Where applicable, we provide covering letters and a list of necessary supporting documents. Replies and requests for further information go directly to the client and we provide input at this stage as necessary. This approach gives the client ownership of the process and the ultimate decision on submission of an application.

Charity Fundraising Ltd. - Terms of Agreement

Before starting on any major assignment we form an agreement with the client in writing, detailing the responsibilities and expectations of both parties. We invoice monthly and expect payment within fourteen days. We commence work for a new client on receipt of advance payment in respect of the first five days work; we credit that payment against the first month end invoice. Unless otherwise stated on the agreement or contract, work may be terminated with no prior notice as long as all work completed to that date has been paid for in full.

We aim to be highly responsive to the needs of our clients and can usually provide a quick response in picking up work on a tight deadline. We also offer flexibility in arrangements, allowing regular clients to increase or decrease our support month to month in line with fluctuating requirements.
