Finding Funding Workshop - 25th January 2012

Charity Fundraising Ltd.’s next  Finding Funding workshop, an introduction to the whole business of fundraising, will take place on Wednesday 25th January 2012 in Ipswich, Suffolk.   The course is aimed at  anyone new to fundraising, whether as  manager of a charity or of a project in a larger voluntary sector organisation, the one-day workshop introduces the fundamentals of fundraising from planning and budgeting, through identifying funders and writing compelling applications, to evaluation monitoring and reporting.

The course is OCN accredited; learners are invited to complete a workbook which serves as part of their record of the workshop,  formal assessment for a credit at OCN Level 3 is entirely optional.
 
The cost is £185 which includes VAT, course materials and lunch. There are still places available, so please contact Peter See on 01394 610581 for further information and to book a place.
 

Merry Christmas from the team at Charity Fundraising Ltd

We would like to wish all of our clients and visitors to our site a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Despite the difficult grant and contract funding environment, the team at Charity Fundraising Ltd are delighted to have enabled a substantial number of voluntary organisations to approach Christmas with much stronger finances and bright prospects for the New Year. Last month alone we achieved more than £1 Million in grants for our clients, as well as success in a framework tender process that could be worth approximately £900,000 over three years to one of our clients. 
 
Our Head Office and Northern Office will close at noon Friday 23rd December and re-open Tuesday 3rd January. We are opening a new London Office early in January to help us provide closer contact to our London and South West based clients.  All best wishes for a Happy Christmas from; Graham, Paul, Peter, Kathryn, Oscar, Graham Sheath, Steph, Rose and Mike.  
 

£284,289 Big Lottery Fund Reaching Communities Grant

Fundraising Consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd are delighted to hear that our work with Slough YMCA preparing first and second stage applications for The Big Lottery Fund Reaching Communities programme has resulted in a grant of £284,289 over 4 years.

Over £650,000 achieved for Construction Youth Trust

Fundraising Consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd are delighted to hear of a pledge worth £60,000 and several more grant successes for Construction Youth Trust, in response to applications drafted by Funding Consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd. These include £341,511 from The Big Lottery Fund Reaching Communities programme. Applications drafted by Charity Fundraising Ltd for Construction Youth Trust have now achieved over £650,000.

Graham Parker, Director of Charity Fundraising Ltd commented "We are now seeing the fruits of a long standing engagement with Construction Youth Trust in which both parties have worked hard on the fundability and sustainability of the Trust. We are delighted that they have seen such an excellent return on their investment in our services. We all look forward to further successes in a maturing agreement next year."
 

Graham Parker is now a Director Of AFC

Managing Director of Charity Fundraising Ltd, Graham Parker has accepted an invitation to join the board of the Association of Fundraising Consultants. AFC's mission is to be the professional association that sets standards in fundraising consultancy in the UK in order to safeguard the interests of not-for-profit organisations their donors and beneficiaries.

Graham said; ‘ I was delighted, on behalf of the whole team at Charity Fundraising Ltd to join the board of AFC; their vision is our vision.  AFC membership has become a hallmark for best practice within the not-for-profit sector. We strive at Charity fundraising Ltd to maintain the highest professional / ethical standards and it is very appropriate that we should work with AFC, and I should sit on their Board, with a remit to promote what they describe as The Gold Standard in fundraising Consultancy.’
 

The Red Hen Project

Fundraising Consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd are delighted to welcome The Red Hen Project as a new client.

The Red Hen Project works in a deprived area of Cambridge supporting children and their families to overcome barriers to learning. The issues covered include parenting, behaviour management, physical and mental health issues, bullying, low self-esteem, family break ups, bereavement, child protection issues and domestic violence. They also offer a breakfast club at which they provide a healthy meal and social interaction in a safe environment at the start of the day.
 

Over £1 Million Grant Funding achieved in November

Our team is delighted to have achieved over £1 Million in grant funding for our client charities in November. This was through a wide range of grant funding applications for five and six figure sums being awarded to six different clients. In addition to this we also heard news of a successful tender for another client to join a three year framework agreement to provide call-off services with an anticipated value of around £900,000. That brings the total achieved and anticipated to nearly £2 Million in just one month.

This represents a great achievement and highlights the skills and experience of the Charity Fundraising Consultants to keep achieving ever higher levels of success despite the difficult funding environment. 
 

The Cardiomyopathy Association

Funding Consultants at Charity Fundraising are delighted to welcome The Cardiomyopathy Association as a new client.

The Cardiomyopathy Association (CMA) is a registered charity that helps people and their families affected by the heart muscle disease cardiomyopathy. They provide support and easy-to-understand information on the different types of cardiomyopathy. 
 
People affected by cardiomyopathy face a bewildering situation as they come to terms with their situation and seek to learn more about the condition. The Cardiomyopathy Association is there to help them. Their services are there to help relieve the feelings of anxiety, isolation and confusion which people commonly feel when affected by cardiomyopathy. The Cardiomyopathy Association is the only UK charity dedicated to providing support and information to families affected by cardiomyopathy.
 

£90,000 achieved for Age UK Norwich

Fundraising Consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd are delighted to hear of a grant of £90,000 awarded to Age UK Norwich. This award has been made by Comic Relief  in response to an application drafted by Funding Consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd. This grant is towards the cost of engaging and empowering older people to form new neighbourhood groups.
