Funding success for SPECAL
Fundraising consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd have worked with SPECAL (Specialised Early Care for Alzheimer's) to achieve a grant of £23,365 from the Percy Bilton Charitable Trust. Graham Parker, Director at Charity Fundraising Ltd said; "we are delighted to have achieved an offer of £23,365 from the Percy Bilton Charitable Trust for capital work at Burford old hospital which, further to provision of a very substantial grant, is now owned by SPECAL and used as the base for their cutting edge work. This funding will cover the cost of refurbishing a new training room as well as the provision of a disabled access toilet facility."
The aim of SPECAL (Specialized Early Care for Alzheimer's) is to maintain wellbeing and contentment for people who are living with dementia throughout the rest of their lives. The approach is the subject of a Sunday Times Best Seller "Contented Dementia" by Clinical Psychologist, Oliver James. We are delighted to be working with this client charity which is making such a difference in the lives of people experiencing dementia and their carers, including professionals working with them. Graham can be contacted at Charity Fundraising Ltd on 01394 610581 and he would very much like to hear from potential funders of this work.
