Charity Fundraising Ltd Consultancy Services
An introduction to Charity Fundraising Ltd: What we do and how we work
Charity Fundraising Ltd delivers fundraising consultancy services to the Third Sector (Charities, Social Enterprises, Voluntary and Community Organisations etc) helping them to plan, establish and take forward their fundraising strategies. We work in close partnership with management and trustees to establish new, sustainable funding streams; thus enabling our clients to focus on service delivery.
We specialise in raising core, project, salary and capital costs from; charitable trusts and foundations, corporate sponsorship, Lottery programmes, Europe, UK and Local Government, high net worth individuals etc. Research undertaken daily keeps us aware of new and wide ranging funding opportunities from many potential sources.
The head office team of permanent staff, collectively has a wide range of skills and experience. Being a fairly small team we continually exchange and share knowledge/ideas, and are responsive to clients’ needs. We have a network of associates that work with us to augment resources for larger projects or to meet demand for an intensive period of work.
Our involvement with our clients is a partnership, based on a two-way exchange of information and support. In order to maximise funding, we depend on clients to provide accurate, up-to-date information in timely fashion, for each funding priority/project. We use e-mail, phone calls and regular scheduled meetings to ensure that both parties synergise and work together effectively.
Charity Fundraising Ltd focuses on identified funding priorities and works to produce quality applications and covering documents designed to maximise the inflow of funds for clients. Sometimes several researchers and specialists will be involved in our work for a client to deliver added value from their particular experience. We appoint a principal contact for each client to facilitate coordinated and efficient communication; we will ask clients to nominate a similar “first contact” in their organisation, preferably a senior staff member with decision making powers.
We apply skills, experience and resources to find appropriate sources of funding, and draft applications which achieve the best possible results. In most cases we establish direct communication, by telephone or email, with potential funders on your behalf. We subsequently draft applications to interested funders and email them to the client for printing, signature and submission. Covering letters and a list of necessary supporting documents will also be supplied electronically by us. Replies and requests for further information will come directly to you. This approach, we believe, gives the client ownership of the process and the ultimate decision on submission of an application.
Charity Fundraising Ltd abides by the Code of Practice of the Institute of Fundraising, the recognised industry body for our profession. We will not make “third-party” applications (i.e. submit applications in our name) on behalf of our clients; “third-party” applications are unpopular with many trusts and foundations and carry little chance of success. In accordance with the Institute of Fundraising recommendation, and to avoid potential for conflict with charity law, we work on a day fee basis, not on commission.
We invoice monthly and expect payment within fourteen days. We commence work for a new client on receipt of advance payment in respect of the first five days work, we credit that payment against the first month end invoice.
