Browning House

Fundraising consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd are delighted to announce Browning House as a new client.

Browning House is based in the Chapeltown area of Leeds, and for 60 years has worked with children and families from across England. Families spend time at Browning House after they have been referred by their local authority or the courts as a result of difficulties with their ability to parent their children safely. Whilst at Browning House families are supported and encouraged to develop their parenting skills and learn about child development.

Until recently independent, family assessments such as these have been conducted within a residential setting, but having identified a need to assess families in the community Browning House has created a flexible service whereby children and families can receive the same level of support within their own homes or other community setting.

Karen Keenan, Children’s Services Manager says “the pilot indicates that Browning House is taking the right steps forward offering a diverse service which meets the needs of families and referral agents. We are excited to have the support of Charity Fundraising Ltd to further strengthen our community services that are crucial in safeguarding children".

Consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd will be working with Browning House to help raise funds to establish a permanent community assessment service.
