Applications / bids for grant funding are submitted to potential funders in an increasingly competitive funding environment; demand for funds far outstrips supply. Regardless of the value of the work you propose for funding, your application is unlikely to succeed unless it is of very high quality and complies in all respects with the particular funder’s Guidance, Funding Criteria and Exclusions. Developing an application process can be a daunting task, especially when the figures involved are often substantial and competition for funding is extremely high. Last year Charity Fundraising Ltd raised over Two Million pounds for clients, however, we appreciate that the costs in commissioning a fully Outsourced Fundraising Service can often be prohibitive for many charities and most voluntary sector organisations draft their own applications.

Our professional Bid Review Service will review your draft application(s) and provide professional input and advice on how best to put your case forward for funding, substantially increasing the chances of success of your application. Our team of consultants have years of experience in producing successful funding applications for a huge range of the Major Bid processes. At Charity Fundraising Ltd we always ensure that every bid drafted by a member of our team is critically reviewed by at least one other colleague, who examines it closely ‘with fresh eyes’ from the perspective of the potential funder in the context of their most recently published guidance. This substantially improves the chance of success of every application we draft. We can do the same for you at modest cost; our minimum fee for this service is £200 plus VAT per application.

How this review service works;

2. Charity Fundraising Ltd will send you, by post or electronically, an invoice for the minimum fee for this service, £200 plus VAT which will cover up to the first 3.5 hours work.
3. On receipt of your initial payment Senior Consultants at Charity Fundraising Ltd will look at your applications / bids and agree with you the approximate amount of time to be spent by us reviewing and recommending changes / improvements. Usual costs vary between £200 — £1000 plus VAT.
4. We will then make a detailed examination of your work from the perspective of the potential funder(s) to which you propose to submit the application and in the context of their guidance. We will then send your work back to you by email with our recommendations for changes / improvements.
5. In the case of major application processes such as those of The Big Lottery Fund it may be agreed to exchange work between us more than once until both parties are satisfied that the application stands a good chance of success. Our process can include critical review of budgets and all documents that you will need eventually to send off with your application(s).
6. When we have completed the task we will send you an invoice for the remainder of our time up to the limit agreed with you and request payment within 14 days.
