Finding Funding - Training Course Improvements
From January 2011 we will be inviting all learners on our popular Finding Funding workshop to complete the workbook designed for Open College Network (OCN) Accreditation. The workbook adds greatly to the value learners will derive from the workshop, whilst submission for assessment and accreditation will be an option at no further cost.
Participants have commented:
The pre-course exercise is really thought provoking; leads you to different perspectives on your project and organisation. The post course exercise consolidates everything learnt from the training day.
I found the workbook easy to follow, … it is in an extremely structured format and provides the user with confidence to demonstrate the learning that has taken place.
Peter See our Tutor Assessor for Finding Funding said:
Through straightforward exercises and case studies, the workbook provides learners with an opportunity to relate the principles and techniques we describe to their own fundraising needs. And at no further cost, learners may choose to have their work formally assessed for a credit at Level Three, valuable evidence of Continuing Professional Development or for Investors in People and ideal for anyone considering or progressing a career that may include fundraising.
Training events will continue to be highly participative small group workshops, enabling all delegates to receive personalised advice from a highly experienced fundraising consultant.
Finding Funding is an introduction to the whole business of fundraising, from planning, through identifying potential funders, submitting applications to reporting, monitoring and evaluating. In addition to the workbook, learners take away a handbook of presentation and supporting material that serves as a reference for managing a fundraising campaign.
